“Improved health outcomes depend on good clinical data.” UgandaEMR, was the first patient medical records system in Government Health Facilities in Uganda. It was first piloted in 2011 in about 20 health facilities across the country.
UgandaEMR is built on OpenMRS which is an open-source system. The System is currently installed in about 1000+ health facilities across the country. e.g. General hospitals, Regional Referal HostpitalsHC IV, HC III and some HC II are running the system. Target is to move UgandaEMR out of the data-room to Point of Care(POC) in all current and new facilities.
